The location of the hotel is excellent, and the staff is very friendly.
The hotel should be renovated urgently. Tattered lampshades, worn carpeting, crack in the sink, that all seems very loveless. And that does not correspond to the standard or the price of the venue.

Simply put, I liked everything - from the doorman to the late night dinner. The food was fantastic and the staff made the guests feel like at home. Even the elevator with the ambiance of a library makes a good impression and it is fun to move around in the hotel.
I can not list any negative points, because there simply were none. If you have something to complain about here, then you should go better in the modern hotels in Toronto.

The location is excellent. The service too. The rooms and suites are very comfortable.
The breakfast is the only disappointing thing. It is far too basic for a hotel of this level and never changes.

Great location, had stayed there before, very nice rooms, staff is very customer oriented
Very bad experience in the restaurant for dinner, food was of poor quality, not cooked or not well cooked, bad experience with room service for b'fast & dinner, did not get what we asked for, the toasts were toasted on 1 side only, no butter, the bill was wrong etc.. disappointing for a hotel of that class...

The comfort of the suites, the friendlies and politeness of the staff. The extra touches with cookies left in our room. The restuarant quality and selection that invited one to stay and eat there rather than go out and it was well worth it.
The drafts from the windows, thank goodness the curtains were thick. The carpet in our suite looked tired, the dining tables state after the table cloths were removed and replaced for the next set up were very poor.

The location is very good, just off Bloor. The hotel is impressive as you walk in, staff are courteous and helpful. We had been upgraded at no extra expense and the suite was very good in every respect. The spa on the fourth floor was a very welcome extra especially after a long walk in the city.
Some small niggles that need to be addressed. There was no option in our suite to drink anything other than coffee. My partner asked for some tea bags at reception but she was told that would probably incur an extra charge. We weren't that impressed with the dining room/kitchen. We opted for the complimentary breakfast every morning: on the first morning they ran out of croissants by 9.30 and despite our waitresses' attempts to get us some, none were forthcoming. We had the feeling overall that the kitchen and dining area needed to be better managed, we didn't really feel comfortable there, it didn't live up to the blurb in the information book in our suite so we chose to eat out in the evenings.
